Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 3, 2026
1. Introduction
Zarrah ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").
2. Information Collection
We collect information that you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, update your profile, or communicate with us. This may include:
- Personal Data: Name, email address, and other contact details.
- Usage Data: Information about how you access and use the Service, including device information, log data, and interaction data.
3. Google Calendar Data
If you connect Google Calendar, Zarrah may access your calendar list metadata and event data, including event titles, descriptions, start and end times, locations, recurrence rules, status, event IDs, etags, and attendees if Google returns them for an event. Zarrah also stores OAuth access and refresh tokens needed to keep the connection active.
- We use Google Calendar data only to show existing Google Calendar events in Zarrah, create or update events at your request, delete events at your request, create dedicated Zarrah and Prayer Times calendars, and sync Zarrah actions and prayer times.
- OAuth tokens are stored in encrypted device storage. Imported Google Calendar event content is stored locally on your device unless you explicitly convert it into Zarrah-owned data.
- Disconnecting Google Calendar revokes Zarrah's Google access, clears stored OAuth tokens, and removes imported Google Calendar event copies from local storage.
- Zarrah does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, share it for unrelated purposes, or use it to train AI or machine learning models.
- Zarrah's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Use of Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Service.
- Process transactions and send related information.
- Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages.
- Respond to your comments, questions, and requests.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.
6. Data Security
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, please also remember that we cannot guarantee that the internet itself is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your data. To exercise these rights, please contact us.
8. Third-Party Services
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Zarrah. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.
10. Changes to Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
